Here it is. My favourite photograph of the year. I took it on the day we went to Keji. I took a lot of photos that day. There were the fall colours, the treats, the fairy homes and so many more. But for me this one is leaps and bounds above all of those. And more than any other photo I took all year.

I haven't posted it before now because I sort of fell in love with it. It's funny how the things that truly mean something to us are harder to share. Putting it out there makes me more vulnerable than I care to admit. I took it while standing in a small clearing in an ancient growth forest. The air was still and every chirping bird seemed to echo through the silence. In the middle of all that stillness there was undetectable movement. It seemed like a breeze that had no substance, it just wrapped itself around us all. I can't really describe it any better than that. With no hopes of capturing what I was seeing or feeling I lifted my camera straight into the sun and took a picture anyway. And there it was. Just like magic. I captured every second of the entire day in just a few pixels.

I was going to say I love it when that happens but honestly this was the first time.
